Hollow core doors can become permanently warped or twisted over time as a house sinks and compresses them making their defects nearly impossible to correct.

If you ve checked the hinges latch and fit but the door still doesn t close properly consider installing a new door.

If the hinge screws become loose they can move around and cause the door itself to move slightly out of place.

Put the screwdriver under the hinge pins and tap the bottom with the hammer.
Sometimes a door hinge needs to be shimmed to adjust the door in the frame.
The hinges and door should both be level and the door should shut.
